Adrienne Centinaro LCSW CPC Therapist Counselor

What is telehealth?

Telehealth is the delivery of health and health related services, such as mental health, via digital communication technologies. Basically, telehealth offers the ability to have a live counseling session from the comfort of your own home.

Why telehealth?

Telehealth has become increasingly more common, especially due to the pandemic. Telehealth offers the same benefits as face to face counseling, but with the convenience of staying at your home, office, or wherever you wish to have your session.

Will our session be secure?

I use a telehealth platform known as Simple Practice. It is HIPPA compliant, so you can rest assured that your health information is protected.

What do I need for the session?

Just an internet connection. Our session is accessible by a link, which you will receive prior to the session. Simply click the link to join. That’s it! You can use your phone, tablet, or computer. If you are using a tablet or phone, you will download the free SimplePractice app from the iOS or Android store. You will be able to join the session from there.

Are there connection issues?

Occasionally. The best way to avoid this is to make sure you have a stable internet connection, such as at your home or office, rather than in your car, where you are more likely to have spotty WiFi.
